Two longtime team members share their experiences at NAPOA.

This August, two of our dedicated team members, Stephanie Serrano and Azriana (“Azy”), had the opportunity to represent CorrectiveSolutions at the 2026 National Asian Peace Officers’ Association (NAPOA) Conference, held at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles.

For both Stephanie and Azy, this was their first time attending a professional conference on behalf of CorrectiveSolutions. What began as an opportunity to meet law enforcement professionals from across the country became a memorable experience of learning, reconnecting, and gaining a new perspective on the work they do every day.

From Behind the Scenes to the Front Lines of Networking

Stephanie has been part of the CorrectiveSolutions family since March 2009. Beginning as a part-time call center representative, she worked her way through several positions, including Compliance Lead, Compliance Supervisor, and Training and Education Coordinator, before taking on leadership of our Compliance Department in 2018.

Stephanie admitted that she was initially nervous about representing the company at an event of this kind. Her daily responsibilities typically involve working directly with participants enrolled in our programs, rather than meeting with the law enforcement agencies and professionals who make up the broader criminal justice community.

At NAPOA, that changed.

She had the opportunity to speak with officers representing different agencies and states, explain how CorrectiveSolutions’ programs work, and share how our services support the criminal justice system.

One of her biggest takeaways was discovering how genuinely interested many officers were in learning about the work we do.

The experience gave Stephanie a renewed appreciation for the role CorrectiveSolutions plays in helping individuals and supporting communities.

Reconnecting Through a Shared Journey

Like Stephanie, Azy has held several positions within the CorrectiveSolutions organization. She began in the Admin Department before moving into the Call Center, where she first met Stephanie.

Her career eventually took her to Florida, where she worked as a Probation Officer in Flagler County through CorrectiveSolutions. After returning to California, she continued developing her experience and now serves as a Case Manager at our Garden Grove branch.

Although Stephanie and Azy’s professional paths had taken different directions over the years, the conference provided a welcome opportunity to reconnect.

Together, they stepped outside their usual work environments to engage with law enforcement professionals and organizations from throughout the United States.

Azy particularly enjoyed seeing the diversity of agencies represented at the event. The different uniforms and department patches became natural conversation starters, providing opportunities to learn where attendees had traveled from and hear about their experiences.

For both employees, the event was a reminder that professional growth often comes from stepping outside one’s comfort zone.

Strengthening Connections and Understanding Our Impact

Throughout the conference, Stephanie and Azy spoke with attendees about CorrectiveSolutions’ services, including our electronic monitoring, drug testing, and case management programs.

These conversations offered an opportunity not only to introduce our organization but also to better understand the professionals and agencies working throughout the criminal justice system.

For employees whose daily work often happens behind the scenes, meeting law enforcement professionals face-to-face provided a valuable new perspective.

It reinforced something we believe strongly at CorrectiveSolutions: the work our team does every day matters, both to the individuals participating in our programs and to the communities we serve.

Investing in Our People

We are proud of Stephanie and Azy for representing CorrectiveSolutions at NAPOA 2026.

Their stories reflect something important about our company: professional development is not limited to job titles or promotions. It also comes from new experiences, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to see the bigger picture.

We are grateful to the National Asian Peace Officers’ Association for bringing together law enforcement professionals from across the country, and to everyone who stopped by to learn more about CorrectiveSolutions.

Most importantly, we thank Stephanie and Azy for their enthusiasm, professionalism, and willingness to share their experiences.

We’re proud of the people who represent CorrectiveSolutions, and we’re excited to continue building relationships with the law enforcement communities we serve.

In March 2018, CorrectiveSolutions began administering Probation Monitoring for Tucson City Court.

A common talking point that we run into when speaking to members of District Attorneys’ Offices is whether their diversion program is paid for by the offenders or by county resources using taxpayer funds.

Prosecutor-Led Diversion Programs generate a ton of data, and it's important to know what are good indicators of a successful program and how to interpret those indicators.
